Bureau No. 32 - £159
A small ladies bureau in the Queen Anne Revival style, probably circa 1930s. It has slim cabriole legs with hand carving on the legs and lower part of the bureau. There is one spacious drawer and writing slope with leather inset. The paint is Annie Sloan Chicago Grey finished with white wax to give an aged but soft finish. The interior is Antoinette with the leather inset stencilled in a rose pattern in Chicago Grey. The drawer has been lined and the sides finished with a rose stencil. The handles have been cleaned and polished, the lock is in working order with the original key. The front is stencilled with a large rose bouquet and the key is finished with a matching tassel.

Hinges and handles cleaned and refitted
Finished with 2 coats of white wax and buffed to a light sheen

As with all vintage items it will have some signs of age, nothing to detract from the piece but please don't expect it to be like new. Expect personality and character and not an item that has been mass produced or spray painted.
