An elegant reproduction Edwardian style console table made of wood and wood veneer, but although still sound it had lost its lustre prior to painting.  The design is simple and slimline with two small drawers and slim legs with spade feet; would sit well in a contemporary home.  The paint is Annie Sloan Oxford Navy applied with exaggerated brush strokes, finished with clear wax. The spade feet have been highlighted with gold acrylic.  It really did not need much more than that, a simple but dramatic finish.

 

Exterior painted with 2 coats of Oxford Navy

Brass Handles polished but still with some patina to match the finish

Spade feet painted in gold acrylic

Finished with 2 coats of clear wax and buffed to a soft sheen

As with all vintage items it will have some signs of age, nothing to detract from the piece but please don't expect it to be like new. Expect personality and character and not an item that has been mass produced or spray painted.
